Joseph and Jay enjoyed a snow day at home over a week ago when school was cancelled, and created some very impressive snowmen in the yard. They are actually still standing, though shrinking now from the sun we had the past few days and are now getting rained on. Also next to them now is an impressive array of scaffolding up onto and across our roof for work being done on the chimneys. Some day we will have stopped all possible avenues for water getting into the house....but it won't be today. ("not today Zurg!" I've always got some kind of animated film quote in my head....Toy Story being one of my favorites) Jay actually went on top of the house and walked across from the chimney pictured to the chimney on the other side of the house not pictured, to check out the work needed with one of the contractors. I felt much better when he was back on the ground again....and look forward to the scaffolding being taken away!
