This is the Morning Report

Jay and I have quote animated films quite often. (I wonder why?)  All the kids love movies and lately they have also all enjoyed Power Rangers (oddly, I find this show to be more annoying than Dora the Explorer)  Hannah and Leah both fight over who the pink power ranger is (whereas with Strawberry Shortcake there are plenty of pink and purple characters to choose from) and Joseph man's the remote and acts as negotiator.  I am pretty sure Joseph is more technically advanced than I am (yes, I do have a degree in Computer Science and spent most of my career in IT), and he can usually fix any problem with the iPad faster than me.  I am having a hard time adapting to my new iPhone (as a former Blackberry user) and find the tiny letter keys incredibly difficult, but I'm sure he'd have no problem and could probably type a sentence faster than I could.  Joseph has been more into reading lately and enjoyed Jay reading the BFG with him.  Tonight I was the designated bedtime reader and he pointed out to me that I could have done better with my dot dot dots and question marks in Green Eggs and Ham. (while my reading is much faster than Jay's, he is much more animated in his character voices and uses of proper punctuation).  Joseph has taught us all a card game called garbage, and the girls seem to like it despite the fact that it forces them to learn numbers (tricks work best with them).  They are so into coloring and art that they have started writing our names and other letters in addition to their names as part of their pictures, and spend hours every day with markers, pencils and anything that writes.  Everyone still loves the zoo (pictures taken there), though they all comment on how much walking it is and why can't we bring the stroller (because we're trying to burn off some energy and tire everyone out that's why!)  Some of their faces and thoughts are priceless, but I need to make more of an effort to write them down.  Next time!

Happy Halloween!

Joseph captured the essence of Conway for trick or treating last weekend (he's the mummy pictured below)
